PUBLIC INFO-public information is Cheryl P. Ann reported by e-mail that she bought the PSA for $20. She gave the original to Amy to bring to Cheryl as PI chair. Gave a copy to Amy for Houma group. Amy received an answer from WSO about whether they had contacted Mrs. Obama about childhood obesity and OA. The suggestion is being sent to the PI and Professional Outreach Committee. They will be meeting at the WSO Business Conference later this month.

FUND RAISING: t-shirts will be on sale at boutique. Cheryl agreed to inventory. Discussed selling book marks and book covers at the convention.

2010 July 9-11 Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in New Orleans, LA
Dianne, Chair, reported on where we should be at this time. Committee chairs reported on progress. Mimi, Program Chair, completed proposed program and distributed an example. The final program must wait for the Region Secretary to send the final Business Assembly Agenda. The Region Vice-Chair has approved the content. Amy, Co-Chair and Boutique/Hospitality Chair reported that BRIG is lending us some hangers and racks. She also asked about how the hotel will let us collect donations for the hospitality food and beverages. Dianne to bring questions to Hotel Liaison, Lane. Cheryl, Decorations Chair needs some information from the hotel which Dianne will confirm with Lane. Entertainment Chairs, Ellen and Tom reported on skit and entertainment. Cheryl, as Love Notes Chair asked about where to put them on display. Memphis had them set up with names beforehand. Discussed getting a board to put them on. Dianne to check with Hotel Liaison. Cynthia, Registration Chair reported on progress and also presented examples of book marks to sell and/or put in packets. Scholarships were discussed and Janice suggested to write or call the Region Treasurer (Karen), Region Chair(Stephanie) and 12 Step Within Chair (Linda) to discuss the process.
CHAIR ANNOUNCEMENTS – Thanks for being here today. It looks like we are well on our way to the July Assembly/Convention.
