TREASURER  REPORT –retreat profit $1308.19. $654.50/group. Treasury has balance of $976.01 pending retreat being finalized. LITERATURE anyone can order through www.oa.org-  Ann sent e-mail reporting $115.50 in literature, a copy of the DVD, Interview with the Co-founder and 50th anniversary  bookmarks. The bookmarks sell for $4.50, and will be available for all events with literature throughout the year. The DVD is available for workshops, retreats or groups who would like to borrow it. FUND RAISING: t-shirts UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS 2010 Feburary 27th is Unity Day sponsored by the New Orleans area groups. Wednesday group to host Unity Day at the Metairie Baptist Church. Voted to hold COLA meeting before the workshop.   2010 March 19-21 Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in Memphis, TN Dianne moved to pay up to $300 for Amy’s expenses plus Mimi’s registration and lunch. Jane seconded the motion. Approved. 2010 April 26-May 1, 2010 49th WSBC Business Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Theme:”Half a Century=One World of Growth.”Amy to find out possible expenses involved to send a delegate and report at next intergroup meeting. Discussion of questionnaire from World Service. Janice read the proposed “plan of moving” tool. Voted against putting it on the agenda 6-5. Janice read the proposal to change literature wording to “compulsive eater” rather than “compulsive overeater”. Voted 7-3 to put on the agenda. Janice discussed a change proposed to the bylaws stating “beyond” rather than “above” the group level for qualified delegates.  Voted 7-2 to accept; 1abstained. 2010 July 9-11 Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in New Orleans, LA Dianne discussed the Articles of Incorporation being expired and the process to re-instate.  The time line responsibilities were reviewed and actions assigned. Dianne went over the budget and added $400 for printing the flyers. Convention chairs: Marylinn Dianne Leblanc, chair; Amy Richterberg, co-chair; Lane Obrien will be treasurer; Cynthia Swan, registration; Mimi Jalenak, program and publicity; Fundraising, open;  Angela R. runners; Transportation, Luralisa W.;  Beth C., Public Information; Boutique, Linda D.; Decorations, Cheryl P. & Angela R.; Tom Z., entertainment. 2010 August 26-29, 2010 World Service Convention 50th Birthday Celebration in Los Angeles, CA 2010  September 11, 2010  HOUMA’S 33rd BIRTHDAY at  main branch library in Houma. The theme is:         “Happy, Joyous and Free for 33”  Janice reported they have speaker. 2010  November 5, 6 & 7, St. Mary of the Pines-Janice to contact Tonna from Texas for speaker. 2010 November 5,6,7th Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in  NM 2010  November 20th I.D.E.A. Day sponsored by North Shore at St. Timothy in Mandeville .NEW BUSINESS –   Certificate of Eligibility for Region 8-Dianne brought paperwork and Alane notarized the signatures.
