Ann S. reported a new 6pm meeting on Monday in Covington. There is not a meeting on Tuesday in Slidell anymore. TREASURER  REPORT – Treasury has balance of 1771.58. Report accepted. The theme is:         “Happy, Joyous and Free for 33” Janice reported they have Beth from Florida as speaker. 2010  November 5, 6 & 7, St. Mary of the Pines-  Ann S. presented flyer and will add roommate preference; silent auction for retreat. 2010 November 5,6,7th Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in  Orlando, Fl- sending one representative to assembly. 2010  November 20th I.D.E.A. Day sponsored by North Shore at St. Timothy in Mandeville 2011 AUGUST 26-28TH 34 Year Houma Birthday Retreat. NEW BUSINESS: Janice S. encouraged Lifeline subscriptions as well as writing about service experience. UNFINISHEDS BUSINESS- 2010 July 9-11 Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in New Orleans, LA Dianne,  Chair, reported on where we should be at this time. She distributed budget. Committee chairs reported on progress.  Registration report: Host committee to wear Black & Gold on Friday and Purple, Green and Gold on Saturday. One day registration to be $25. There were 90 registrations received. Program: Mimi J. reported on speaker vacancies and members offered assistance. Reported on entertainment and skit. Final program to be sent early next week. Decorations: Angela R. and Cheryl P. brought centerpieces for the tables; one was Mardi Gras theme and one was Louisiana magnolia theme. PI-Jane V. to con tact Region 8 PI chair about table. Publicity-Amy R. requested Ann S. and Mimi J. send another reminder next week to mailing list and intergroup chairs. Dianne L. requested chairs to review their duties and send her a status report.
