TREASURER REPORT – Accepted. Dianne L. financial report was submitted, approved, and distributed. The report was wonderful and thorough.
PUBLIC INFO-public information is Cheryl P. Ellen has received the PSA letter and PSA cd copies. She is distributing them to radio stations.
COLA WEB SITE www.oa-neworleans.com Ann S. reported it has been updated. COLA agreed to put region convention report on website.

LITERATURE anyone can order through www.oa.org- Ann S. ordered $265.42 worth of literature for the Chattawa Retreat.

FUND RAISING: Dianne L. said she would collect jewelry to sell at the retreat.
UNITY WITH DIVERSITY: Mimi J. reported that the Young Peoples' special focus meeting has begun. Mimi sent a PSA cd & letter to Tulane’s radio station, WTUL.
UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
2010 November 5, 6 & 7, St. Mary of the Pines- Ann S. sent report on registrations (27). 2 people inquired about scholarships. COLA decided it will offer one full scholarship and waive registration fee for the second.
2010 November 5,6,7th Region 8 Recovery Convention and Business Assembly in Orlando, Fl- sending Amy R. to assembly. She has been reimbursed for her expenses so far.
2010 November 20th I.D.E.A. Day sponsored by North Shore at St. Timothy in Mandeville-there are two speakers with a group activity and open sharing from 9-12pm.
2011 AUGUST 26-28TH 34 Year Houma Birthday Retreat.
NEW BUSINESS:
COLA sent $100 donation to send a OA Columbian delegate to the region 8 meeting.
Amy R. is running for Region 8 World Service Delegate. She has requested support for funding as our delegate for the World Service Business Conference . Amy has sent the request to World service.
Cheryl P. asked what would be a “prudent reserve” for COLA to keep in the treasury to fund upcoming events. $2000 was suggested, but Desmond M. will check on the OA website for “prudent reserve”.
Alane has been nominated for vice chair and Mimi has been nominated for secretary.
